Member Meeting: Sept 2nd (Susan Jones. Master Beekeeper)

Meet Susan Jones! Over the past 20 years, Susan has been a teacher, a competitor, an advocate, an entrepreneur, and the president of a nonprofit. The one thing that all of these roles have in common: HONEY BEES! Susan sells her award-winning honey and beeswax products as the owner of Susan Marie’s Bees in Hodges, SC.

She is a SC Master Beekeeper and recipient of the 2025 SC Beekeeper of the Year Award. She has served as the Director of the SC Master Beekeeper Program and as the first woman President of the SC Beekeepers Association. Susan currently shares her passion with students as the Apiculture & Pollinator Specialist at the South Carolina Governor’s School for Agriculture at John de la Howe.
