About the Course
Registration for our 2025 class will open mid-October.Â
This course is a bargain at $75 per person and includes 2 full days of quality classroom instruction + a visit to a bee yard with hands-on instruction, snacks, a study guide + the book Beekeeping Tips & Techniques in the Southeast by Master Beekeeper, David MacFawn.
Please note, this is ONE class with 3 dates. Each class date is consecutive to the previous class date. If you are unable to attend the first class, you can still attend the 2nd and 3rd; however, we do not prorate the cost.
Class dates are typically held the 3rd weekend Jan-March at our meeting venue: 3215 Platt Springs Road, West Cola. The first two classes start promptly at 9am. You will have an hour for lunch. Class lets out about 4:30pm. The 3rd class is in a member's bee yard. Plan to be there from 9am-1pm. Attendees are required to wear their beekeeping veil, gloves and appropriate footwear, as this is hands-on instruction in a field that will have tall grass.
Each attendee must be an MSBA member to register for the class. Once you join MSBA, go to the Members Only area and find the class link. The link will direct you to our "Store" page where you can sign up and pay.Â
There are no refunds. The study guide + class material and agenda will be emailed prior to the first class date.
