2024 Bee Sale
See information below on the difference between a package and a NUC + a list of local beekeeping supply vendors.
Packages
Packages of bees are boxes specially built to ship bees safely and securely. These packages are sold by the weight of the bees with roughly 3,000 to 5,000 bees per pound. Most packages range from two to five pounds and commonly come with a queen unless otherwise specified. A package doesn't include frames so the bees can be deposited in any style hive. There is typically a food source that comes with the package (ie: a can of sugar water, showed in the picture).
Note: Our packages are about 3 pounds.

NUCS
A NUC is a partially developed colony. That means they already have some food stores built up, but don't have a proper home yet. Because a nuc is comprised of already established frames, this will give you about a 2 week head start on honey production. The bees do not have to take the extra time to begin the hive from scratch. Your bees can also take advantage of the spring flow, where in a package of bees the workers have to focus on building comb.
